Anti-Sickness Smoothie

That first trimester nausea can hit hard. If you’re going through that right now, just 1g of fresh ginger a day can significantly reduce nausea and sickness in early pregnancy.*


This is a simple smoothie for those early weeks and beyond with some serious nutrition perks.


Light green smoothie with a metal straw


✅ Mango & avocado give you an extra folate fix as well as a bunch of other nutrients


✅ Coconut water for a refreshing feel and to replenish those electrolytes. It could even help with heartburn


✅ Vitamin C from the orange to support your immune system


✅ Fibre from the oats to keep things moving along (pregnancy constipation is real!)



Trust me on the cauliflower in this! I love it for the creaminess and extra veggie goodness, and you won’t even taste it.


For 1-2 glasses, you’ll need:


  • 1 cup (160g) of frozen mango

  • 1 orange or satsuma, peeled

  • 1 tsp (1-2g) ginger

  • 1/4 cup (25g) oats

  • 1/4 (50g) avocado

  • 1 finger-size chunk (80g) of cucumber

  • 1/2 cup (60g) frozen cauliflower florets

  • 1 Medjool date, pitted

  • 1 cup (250ml) coconut water


Add to a blender and blitz until smooth. And enjoy!


*Ginger can be a win for mild to moderate sickness, but if you’re getting it more severely, please chat to your midwives or GP to get the extra help you need.
